"Rob is one of the better guitarist I’ve seen play in the Philadelphia and Jersey area. He has also done a great job promoting and organizing a bunch of music events. My band was invited to perform a couple years back at the Ocean City music pier that Rob had prepared. It was a nice and successful event."

I tried to learn guitar on my own for several months and was getting frustrated with my progress…then one day as I was parking my car on Spring Garden I noticed the Swift lesson sign and decided to take a lesson. That first lesson with Rob was so great because of his easy style I ended up leaving the lesson playing my first song. He has a very easy going style but he is incredibly knowledgeable and has a way of imparting this knowledge when it makes sense in your development process so that you don't become confused. He also makes playing the guitar fun by interlacing the more mundane basic skills that need to be learn into a format that is fun by playing songs or riffs to learn the cord changes or strum pattern. When I leave his lesson I want to fire up my guitar all the more and often do.

Rob was easily one of the most talented guitar players I had the privilege to teach. His hunger for musical knowledge was strong, and he became proficient in all realms of music at an expedited rate. I’m proud of all that he has accomplished, whether it is his innovative approach to teaching the next generation of students or the success of his band(s).

Rob Swift is an awesome teacher. I like that he gives a free introductory lesson. Before my lesson, after our first conversation, I pretty much knew that he would be my teacher. His teaching style is so laid back and he is very knowledgeable with the guitar and his teaching methods work. He is very accommodating. He not only has a plan for his lessons, but he does not mind accommodating requests when I want to learn something new. For example, I wanted to spend a lesson working on a Bob Marley song and he taught me all the chords and helped me to play it. I have had music teachers before and they have been really good teachers, but they didn't meet me on a personal level like Rob does. When I go to his studio, I feel like I am taking lessons from a friend. You couldn't do better than Rob as your teacher whether you are a new student or seasoned. Rob Swift Rocks! Thanks Rob!!!

I've wanted to play the guitar for years and tried several teachers but it was not until I studied with Rob Swift that I really began to learn and to understand the guitar. I realize that it was because he was the first teacher to really consider my way of learning and my interests. As such, he geared his teaching to best unlock my ability with the instrument. No other teacher had done that before. Not only is he a virtuoso guitarist in every style imaginable, but he is a superb teacher who really loves to share the guitar with others, tailoring his approach to each person's most natural and fun way of learning. I am now on my way to mastering the guitar. Thanks Rob!

"Rob Swift does a great job self-producing instructional online videos focusing on the guitar and guitar-related equipment. With the ability to teach music theory-based concepts and techniques, he also demonstrates how to develop a solid guitar sound through his amplifier tutorials, all the while maintaining his own sense of style.  As an active musician both on stage and in studio, Rob has provided up-and-coming guitarists with an awesome-sounding series of videos...especially if they love Rock 'n' Roll!"

When I was in sixth grade I got my first guitar. I was looking for a teacher, and Rob was recommended to me. I gave him a call. From the first lesson I started to learn everything about the guitar. Rob made the learning process fun, teaching fundamentals then building upon them. If it weren't for Rob, I would not be where I am now. Rob has helped me become a better guitar player than I ever would have been before. I would recommend him to anyone looking to learn guitar.

I started taking guitar lessons from Rob Swift during the summer of 2011. An impressive website and the offer of a free first lesson grabbed my attention right away and set him apart from other instructors. I left my first lesson playing 3 different chords and a couple scales, and I was so excited by the quick progress that I was eager to get home to practice. Now, after three months of lessons, I assure you that won't find a better guitar teacher in the Philadelphia area. Rob's abilities as both a guitarist and teacher are masterful. His enthusiasm is totally contagious, and it's a privilege to learn from someone who has such complete command of this instrument and virtually every style of playing. Not only is he running a successful guitar instruction and rental business and playing with the talented band Kickin' Bear – he's one of the friendliest, most personable guys you could hope to meet. I would recommend Rob to students of all ages and all levels without reservation.

“Rob is friendly, enthusiastic, and professional. He also is a great guitar player. You couldn't ask for a better combination in a teacher! I started five weeks ago with very little experience playing guitar. Rob was able to help me build on my prior music background to get me playing real songs and rhythm right away - he tailored the lessons to my ability level and started working with me form the beginning to establish good habits. This has helped me improve rapidly. However, I never felt overwhelmed. He also keeps in touch with me via email and social media over the week, which motivates me to practice! I am really enjoying "feeling" myself get better each week. Thanks Rob!”

“Rob has taught me so much and Its only been a few weeks since i started guitar lessons with him. The way he teaches is easy to understand and he designs every lesson specifically to how fast you learn it. Rob is also very friendly and you'll feel welcomed the first time you meet him. Best guitar teacher ever, I recommend everybody to take lessons from him...you wont regret it.”

“Rob is an extremely talented guitarist. I've been taking guitar lessons from him for over a month now, and he has been great. He has designed my lesson plan to revolve around what I want to learn, and I have been very satisfied. He incorporates a healthy mix if theory and practical jams, and everything is learned on the guitar, not a lesson book or piece of paper. He's provided instructional videos online to supplement the lessons, and makes sure I leave with a good practice agenda to prepare me for the next lesson. I highly recommend Rob for you guitar instructional needs.”

Rob is a very talented guitarist and teacher. He is pasionate about his craft and takes pleasure in sharing it with others. In the few months together, I have seen my growth. I have been playing on and off for 40 years and now Rob is taking me to new levels. As a beginner, intermediate or above, I believe Rob is not only a fine teacher and musician, but more importantly, a fine person. A rare combination. I enjoy the time I get to spend with him.

“I have been taking lessons with Rob for two months now and wanted to share my experience. Simply put, Rob is an awesome guitar teacher who displays a genuine desire to teach music regardless of your skill level. He is engaging and fun and has designed effective and well organized lessons. He offers them at an affordable price and operates out of a clean studio in a safe neighborhood that has plenty of parking.”
